"Time for Beany" started on KTLA (Los Angeles) in February 1949 with a 15-minutes "live" show, that aired Mondays to Fridays. When the program moved to KTTV they added a 30-minutes show to be aired on Saturdays. This is the first of those from September 12, 1953.

Big surprise
I never knew that this was a puppet show before it became a cartoon. The animated version was very popular when I was a kid.

Thanks for putting this up!
I used to watch this when I was 5 years old. Eventually, the program became known as "Beanie & Cecil" to acknowledge the Beanie character's sidekick, who provided the comedy release on the program.
